This is the most recent Dragon Gate film, and is set after the events of New Dragon Inn.

Adam and I review Bastard Swordsman, a wuxia film directed by Tony Liu Chun-Ku. It stars Norman Chu, Lau Wing, Leanne Lau Suet-Wah, Leung Ching-Ching, Alex Man, and Lo Meng. Made in 1983, it is on the more gonzo side of the Shaw Brothers spectrum, similar in some ways to Buddha's Palm or Holy Flame of the Martial World. However it is a little more grounded than other films of its kind.

I talk with Adam about I, Claudius Episode 12: Old King Log. This is the final episode of I, Claudius. Both Adam and I were surprised just how much we misremembered. I think we both agreed, this finale was much better than we had originally recalled it to be.

I talk with Adam about the fourth episode of the 11th series of Doctor Who "Arachnids in the UK". Overall we liked the episode, but some of the subtext felt like it undermined the atmosphere and the story in places. Also both of us agreed that the tone could have been more consistent. We like humor in Doctor Who, and even in horror humor can work well, but this veered away from the atmospheric horror the episode establishes in the opening shot. Still we thought it was an entertaining episode and the spiders were quite effective.
